What are No-Glare Lenses?
With ordinary lenses, approximately 10% of visible light is reflected away and doesn’t reach the eye, which makes it difficult to see clearly – more reflections and less light mean poor vision. No-Glare Lenses, treated with Anti-Reflective lens coating, reduce glare and allow approximately 99% of available light to reach the eye, providing clear and crisp vision. By eliminating reflections and glare visible to others, No-Glare lenses will also appear thinner and more transparent, like you are wearing no lenses at all.
No-Glare lenses also offer many additional benefits:
- UV Protection
- Easy-to-clean
- Water repellent
- Reduced eye strain and fatigue often related to glare from artificial lighting, tablets and computer screens
- Decreased nighttime reflections, especially when driving
- Eliminates irritating glare
- Lens protection from scratches
How to Clean No-Glare Lenses
When cleaning no-glare lenses, it is important to use products that are recommended by your eye care professional, as some lens cleaners contain chemicals that may damage the anti-reflective coating. Additionally, no-glare lenses should only be cleaned when wet – using a dry cloth to clean dry lenses can cause scratches1.
